We got a fantastic opportunity to speak with customers, partners, vendors and healthcare professionals. A vast array of people attended to hear keynote speakers, meet with vendors and learn more about how the landscape of the healthcare industry continues to shift. The conference was held May 10th – 12th at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza North.

Keynote Speech

Crowds filled the Sauganash Ballroom on the 14th floor as Fred Rachman, MD delivered the keynote speech about innovating for better health and the framework that is on the horizon. The room was captivated; you could hear a pin drop with professionals hanging on every word.

The 2017 AllianceChicago Annual Conference saw tremendous growth as compared to years past and became so popular that it outgrew the building where it had previously been held. This is excellent news and really shows how far AllianceChicago’s reach has come. There were a multitude of vendors along two different hallways connected to the main conference room set up to speak with the various users at the event.

Visualutions: A Popular Stop

Breakout Sessions

As the conference progressed, the specialized breakout sessions proved to be incredibly informative and led to a plethora of valuable feedback. The knowledge gained from these sessions was invaluable for conference-goers. The best part of these…it wasn’t just vendors who presented. Leaders in community health centers and Federally Qualified Health Centers presented on vendor products all positioned as a way to enhance future patient care.

Referral Tracking

Amongst the many breakout sessions, one of the most well received and informative was the presentation on Visualution’s Referral Tracking. Co-led by Sabrina Lakin of North Country Healthcare and Angela Heneise from Visualutions, the session took a deep dive into the favorite aspects that Sabrina uses on a daily basis to keep track of outgoing referrals and the power of simplicity. A live demonstration was done in front of a standing-room-only crowd informing them of how to more efficiently use the product and answering any questions they might have. After a fury of great questions and running up against the allotted hour, the session ended and the crowd dispersed.

After a wonderful three days, the conference came to an end. Healthcare professionals were more prepared to serve their communities, they had learned about new and innovative product offerings, and they had made great new connections for future roundtable discussions. The growth of the conference continues to inspire vendors and health centers to continue to do great things. Visualutions continues to look forward to building new partnerships and programs to help serve those who serve the underserved. Until next time, Chicago!
